Up first, one of our top suppliers for blinds, shades and drapery: Graber.
Graber has been in business since 1939, founded by John Graber in his Wisconsin home after he had a problem with his own Venetian blinds. Since then, the company has grown into a global player in the industry, recognized for quality and breadth of selection–Graber offers everything from wooden blinds, to interior and exterior solar shades, to artisan drapery, and Roman shades.
One of our favorite things about Graber, though, is the company’s commmitment to sustainability. A few of the ways they’re making the industry greener: Their products are made using domestic hardwoods to cut down on energy used during transportation; they recycle all excess plastic, wood, and fabric scraps produced during their manufacturing process; and their products use Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certified materials, which create fewer chemical and particle emissions.
Their products are also designed to help reduce energy usage in the home, by providing an extra layer of heat-trapping insulation to windows.
