Our work takes us to some beautiful homes from Manhattan, to New Jersey, to Connecticut and beyond. We recently had the pleasure of installing motorized shades in a stunning coastal mansion on Long Island. The home featured a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water, and the homeowner wanted a way to control light and add privacy without obstructing the view, and with the option to easily control the shades.
The solution: Motorized shades along the entire length of the wall.
The shades we chose provided light diffusion and added and element of privacy, but were sheer enough to allow our clients to enjoy the panoramic view of their stunning location.
Since almost the entire room was surrounded by windows, we decided upon motorized shades, which would allow the client to bring the shades up or down with the push of a button. A must-have in a space this size!
The end result provided a functional, beautiful solution to the homeowner’s needs.
