The Best-Dressed Windows of 2015

It’s that time of year when annual recaps are everywhere you turn–from the Top 40 songs of 2015, to the year’s biggest fashion trends and everything in-between. Since we love a good list, we decided to jump on the bandwagon and add our own: The Best-Dressed Windows of 2015. These are spaces that were unique and striking enough to stop us mid page turn, slideshow click, or browser scroll so we could save them to our inspiration gallery (or simply marvel at their beauty for a few moments longer). Below, a few of our favorites.

This window in a Woodstock, New York farmhouse that appeared in Elle Decor recently is the perfect example of choosing harmonious window treatments – the simple, natural shade is just the right complement to the surrounding floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.

Similarly, in the home to Toms shoes founder Blake Mycoskie, long, luxe drapery adds a warm, high-end feel to this rustic room.

If this gorgeous master bedroom in a Brooklyn townhouse can’t convince you to take a risk with your prints, nothing can.

Flanked by two antique stained glass panels, a window in the Chicago home of designer Julia Buckingham holds its own thanks to a beautiful green Roman shade.

The reason we love the windows in Brooke Shields’ Hamptons estate? They prove that sometimes, simplicity is the most stylish option.
